If you are seriously hurt or sick, you can visit the accident and emergency department at either a Public or Private hospital for urgent treatment. The hospital will charge a facility fee for attendance in their accident and emergency department. Depending on whether you attend the accident and emergency department at a Public hospital, a private hospital your OSHC insurer has an agreement with or a private hospital that your OSHC insurer does not have an agreement with will determine the benefit your insurer pays towards facility fees raised by the hospital. |
